Per GiantBomb.comEA Sports will be releasing an arcade-style hockey game this February titled "3 on 3 NHL Arcade." It will appear on Xbox Live and Playstation Network.
GiantBomb likens the game to NHL '94, considered one of the best hockey games ever, NBA Jam, NFL Blitz and Wayne Gretzky's 3D hockey.3 on 3 NHL Arcade is being developed by the same team that brought gamers NHL '09.
NHL '09 is widely considered the best hockey game in the last decade, and possibly the best sports game in the last decade as well. NHL '09 was acknowledged by gaming media-giant Gamespot as a contender for Game of the Year.
With a great development team behind the game, and the arcade game play of NHL '94, this could be a huge hit with casual gamers and hard-core puck heads alike.
