Caps Red Line: Review

I'm sure the Caps blogosphere will be full of Caps Red Line discussion and so I decided a small cartoon would better summarize the episode than a 700-word post.
Caps Red Line is a collection of jumbo-tron videos with a robotic presentation between segments.

Only a few segments stood out (Goat, Leonhardt, Prof. Bradley) while others seemed to be filler (Ted's Take, Mites on Ice, Mike Green remodeling).

Caps Red Line feels less like a television show and more like a collection of YouTube videos. It's an entertaining 30 minutes, but it could be better, and ultimately you're going to see these videos either online or at the arena.

  1. I enjoyed the show. The Redskins have their weekly TV features; this is a step toward putting the Caps on that level -- a step toward Hockeytown, if you will.

  2. The Redskins show is leagues ahead of Red Line as it stands. It has a host, and a real television atmosphere. It's not that Caps Red Line is bad show, it's that overall, it's a lazy collection of videos. Add a host (say Al Koken, Lisa Hillary or Steve Kolbe) and a studio setting, and we're headed in the right direction.

  3. I vote for Lisa Hillary as host, please not Koken...
